Cove Creek VFD Wildland Firefighter Course Requirements (2025)
Forestry training is now offered in a hybrid format. Once the following on-line classes have been completed, the Fire Chief will schedule the practical portion of the coursework with the Forest Ranger assigned to the county. Listed below are the required classes. You will need to create an account and follow instructions to enroll in each of the classes.
S-110 Basic Wildland Fire Orientation (Online)

If you have any questions and/or once you have complete all the on-line classes, please contact the Fire Chief to schedule your practical portion of the certification program. You should log your training at the fire department as follows:
S-110: 2 hours
S-190: 8 hours
S-130: 24 hours (plus applicable practical field training hours)
L-180: 4 hours
